Beyond Conventional Glass: Redefining Building Security with Burglar Resistant Glazing
The recent Louvre Museum heist, where thieves used power tools to breach display cases in just seven minutes, exposes the vulnerabilities of standard glazing . This incident underscores the non-negotiable need for certified burglar resistant solutions in critical infrastructure. At KFORTS, our glass doors and glass windows comply with European standard EN 1627-1630, achieving forced entry resistance classes RC2 to RC6. These systems incorporate laminated glass with advanced polycarbonate interlayers, creating a burglar proof barrier that resists tools like grinders and drills for extended periods.
Beyond standalone installations, our forced entry resistant technology integrates seamlessly into glass curtain wall systems, maintaining structural harmony while enhancing security. Internally, glass partitions with the same robust specifications protect sensitive zones in corporate and financial facilities. By combining impact-resistant glazing with reinforced framing tested to EN 14351-1, KFORTS delivers holistic burglar resistance that transforms vulnerabilities into certified assets. Our 20 years of R&D ensure solutions that not only deter intrusions but also comply with stringent European performance benchmarks.
