Fire Rated Glazing for Life Safety and Compartmentation...
The Grenfell Tower tragedy remains a stark reminder of the catastrophic consequences of inadequate fire compartmentation. KFORTS’ fire rated glazing systems provide critical protection, complying with European standard EN 13501-2 and achieving EI classifications from EI30 to EI120. Our fireproof technology creates transparent barriers in glass doors and glass partitions, containing flames and smoke while limiting heat transmission.
Unlike traditional wired glass, KFORTS’ fire resistance systems employ advanced ceramic technology to maintain integrity and insulation, exceeding EN 1363-1 requirements. These solutions integrate seamlessly into glass curtain walls and glass windows, ensuring compliance with stringent building regulations without sacrificing design.
KFORTS’ fire rated systems also include intumescent seals compliant with EN 1364-3, which expand at high temperatures to seal perimeter gaps. By combining innovative materials with decades of expertise, we deliver life-saving solutions that protect occupants and property, supporting safe evacuation and firefighter access during emergencies.
