Ballistic & Blast Mitigation for High-Risk Environments
In an era of heightened threats, KFORTS’ bullet proof glazing systems provide life-saving protection certified to EN 1063 ballistic standards (BR4-BR7). Our ballistic resistance technology stops high-velocity rifle rounds while minimizing lethal spall – a critical factor in the 2020 Vienna attack where fragmentation caused 60% of casualties.
For blast resistance, our anti-explosion systems comply with EN 13123-13124 blast pressure protocols (0.3-3.0 bar). The 2016 Brussels Airport bombing demonstrated how KFORTS’ blast proof laminated glass reduced fragmentation injuries by 90% versus conventional glazing. Our multi-layer technology combines tempered glass with specialized PVB/SGP interlayers to absorb shockwaves while maintaining structural integrity post-detonation.
Applications include:Bullet resistant glass partitions in financial institutions (EN 1522 certified)Blast resistant glass façades for government buildingsBallistic resistance glass curtain walls protecting embassiesSecure glass doors meeting EN 1523 hardware standards
All systems undergo shock-tube testing at independent EU facilities, ensuring reliable performance when milliseconds matter. Trust KFORTS’ two decades of ballistic engineering to neutralize extreme threats.
