Ensuring Life Safety with Fire Rated Glazing and Compartmentation
In building safety, containing a fire is as crucial as detecting one. Fire rated glazing from KFORTS plays an indispensable role in passive fire protection, creating transparent barriers that compartmentalize a blaze, slow its spread, and protect escape routes.
Our fireproof glass partitions and glass doors are certified to the EN 13501-2 standard, achieving integrity (E) and insulation (I) ratings such as EI30, EI60, or EI120. This means they can withstand direct flames and prevent the transfer of radiant heat for 30, 60, or 120 minutes. The Grenfell Tower tragedy remains a stark reminder of how inadequate compartmentation can have catastrophic consequences.
Unlike traditional wired glass, KFORTS' fire resistance technology offers superior clarity and can be seamlessly incorporated into modern glass curtain walls and glass windows. By choosing KFORTS' certified fire rated solutions, architects and builders ensure compliance with stringent building regulations and, most importantly, provide occupants with the critical time needed to evacuate safely.
