The Transparent Guardian: Why Certified Burglar Resistant Glazing is Your First Line of Defense
The recent, brazen theft of priceless jewels from the Louvre Museum was a stark reminder: a building's perimeter is only as strong as its weakest point. In that case, and countless others targeting high-end retail, galleries, and corporate headquarters, conventional glass windows and glass doors become the exploitable gateway. These incidents underscore a critical shift in security philosophy—from mere deterrence to engineered, certified delay.
At KFORTS, with over 20 years of specialized engineering, we redefine perimeter security. Our burglar resistant solutions are not just "strong glass"; they are fully certified systems designed to provide measurable forced entry resistance. Each of our glass doors and glass curtain wall units is rigorously tested to the European EN 1627-1630 standard, achieving a defined Resistance Class (RC) from RC2 to the maximum RC6. This rating isn't arbitrary—it certifies exactly which tools (from crowbars to power drills) the glazing can withstand and for how long, creating the vital time barrier needed for security response.
This certified performance extends throughout the building envelope. Our forced entry resistant technology is seamlessly integrated into elegant glass façade designs, proving that architectural aesthetics need not be compromised . Internally, glass partitions securing sensitive areas like server rooms or executive suites provide the same robust, transparent barrier. For architects, facility managers, and security consultants, KFORTS transforms transparency from a vulnerability into a certified, reliable shield—your true first line of defense.
