Product Description
Detailed Specifications & Features
Basic idea and specifications
KFORTS Hurricane Resistant Door System is a high‑performance engineered building solution combining certified hurricane resistance with refined architectural aesthetics. Fully tested and certified to top‑tier hurricane-resistant standards ASTM E1996, ASTM E1886 and AAMA 506, up to highest level, the system provides superior protection against extreme wind pressure and wind-borne debris impact.
Featuring slim, elegant framing, the system integrates comprehensive building‑envelope performances. Tested to ASTM E90 and ASTM E413‑22, the vision glass achieves STC 35‑54, while the complete assembly delivers system‑level acoustic performance of STC 35‑50. Thermal insulation complies with EN‑ISO 10077‑1, with U‑values from 1.0‑2.0 W/(m²·K). Air permeability meets EN 12207, EN 1026: ≤0.5 m³/(h·m) per unit joint length and ≤1.4 m³/(h·m²) per unit area. Water tightness is tested per EN 12208, EN 1027 to ≥700 Pa. Wind‑load resistance follows EN 12210, EN 12211 ≥16kpa/m³ for reference size 1800 × 1500 mm.
Beyond standalone hurricane-resistant functionality, KFORTS offers fully customisable composite performance options. Custom combinations such as hurricane‑acoustic, hurricane‑burglar‑resistant, hurricane‑bullet‑resistant and hurricane‑blast‑resistant window and curtain wall assemblies can be engineered to satisfy complex project security demands.
Core Advantages
KFORTS Hurricane Resistant Door System delivers proven hurricane protection and certified acoustic insulation without sacrificing visual appeal via slim‑profile frames. All performance data is based on full‑assembly testing (sash, frame and sealing system), ensuring dependable on‑site results. One unified system covers acoustic performance, thermal insulation, air‑water‑wind tightness and hurricane resistance. Drawing on KFORTS’ mature security product technology, it supports flexible multi‑protection combinations that are seldom available with standard hurricane-resistant fenestration.
Market Demands in Modern Society
Coastal urban environments face dual challenges of extreme hurricane weather and persistent noise pollution from traffic, mechanical equipment and busy commercial activities. Extreme wind and debris threats compromise building structural safety, while excessive noise impairs privacy, work efficiency and occupant comfort. Today’s high-end coastal projects require reliably certified integrated solutions to ensure both building safety and quiet indoor environments.
Typical Applications
KFORTS Hurricane Resistant Door System is ideal for confidential facilities, government and defence buildings, premium commercial complexes, recording studios, hospital wards, high-end retail venues, coastal infrastructure and luxury hotels. For projects requiring hurricane resistance paired with acoustic, burglary, ballistic or blast protection, KFORTS provides fully‑tested custom composite window and curtain wall assemblies.
